Sometimes I take drawing Seriously, and spend many hours working on a piece.

and sometimes only a few hours

and then sometimes I just like to have fun.

Hi Carl, I'm totally self taught.

This is how I explain where my art comes from.


I can visualise them coming down a shoot from the corner of my visual eyes from my pure eye as that is what I know and sense that is where they come from.
THE SENSATION I feel is like watching a child coming down a water slide in a swimming pool.

When I'm in this state, I can stay in my sub consciousness and look at it like I am in a dream like state, plan the work, even pick out what colours I will use to create it in my mind, my thought box, yet I can't see it in colour, only black and white.

I know I am not awake as I can tune myself to not wake from my sub consciousness and I can stay there until I feel it is time to awaken myself, when I do wake up, it is like I am coming around from a local anaesthetic, not like how I would normally wake up.



I have noticed that I can hear things when I am in this state and choose to stay unconscious and carry on planning the work out till I feel happy with it.
I don't have to sketch the work down as I can recall it like a very lucid dream.
Many works that have came to me in this way even from years ago; I can recall them in my memory or minds eye, from years ago.

I know they are not dreams, so I like to think they come to me before my dream state, from some kind of channel, spiritual channel, and Creative channel?

I think of myself as a creative receiver that is sent creative visions from a higher level in the Universe down through a channel, I can transmit back and ask for more help or clearer images to turn the images or vision around if I am struggling with the vision.
I can explain this better in my most resent work 'visions in prayer' what I have never shown yet to any one

But hey there is no time like the present!
I had problems with this work full on as I could not clearly see the face, so I recall asking to turn the vision around.

This was done and all I can describe it as I recall seeing it is like a silhouette of who ever it is praying.
Now I'm not religious and I have never read a holy book in my life, so who this is praying will be left for the viewer to answer.

All I have done is create from the vision a work, like I would if I was sat outside sketching in a field of buttercups.
